If you've been a partner with Servosity for more than 4 years, it's likely that you have used our V6 client software in the past. As of 12/5/19 all of our backup servers have been updated to version 8. We have enabled auto-updates for all accounts, however there are still some systems out there that are running this outdated version.
All of our partners who still have V6 endpoints were notified of each affected account in the beginning of June. Each partner who still has a V6 endpoint as of the time of writing this announcement will be notified again.
As of 10/12/20 the Servosity version 6 client software will no longer be supported. Servosity will be migrating all of our on-site backup storage to AWS S3 for increased availability, durability and security of your customers data. Unfortunately, the version 6 client does not include support for S3 storage, so all backups and restores will be impossible with a version 6 client from that date on.
For more information about the data migration, please see this announcement: https://support.servosity.com/hc/en-us/articles/360045636412
If you have received this announcement from the Servosity support team, that means that you have one or more customers who are still running a version 6 client. Unfortunately this means that our Auto-update process didn't work for this customer. Generally the easiest path forward is to manually install Servosity version 8 (download here).
