Since the "Gannondorf" release late last year, we've been steadily working to improve Servosity Safe by increasing the performance and usability of Servosity One, as well as building the foundations for the ability to guarantee Professional and Office 365 backups. There have been a number of minor revisions which have rolled out in the past few months, which you may or may not have noticed, but today I'm happy to announce some major changes coming in the near future!
Microsoft 365 Backup has been rebuilt
Microsoft 365 Backup for Servosity 8 has been available for a few years now, though that may be a surprise to some of you. We built it to run on our existing Servosity 8 backup servers, and unfortunately that turned out to be a poor choice. We've never been able to get the speed and reliability we expect out of our products, and so when we decided to restart development from the ground up with Servosity One, it was the perfect opportunity to make it the right way from the very beginning.
Here's some of the great new features you'll enjoy with Microsoft 365 Cloud-to-Cloud backup on Servosity One:
- Support for Microsoft Teams (we're so excited about this one, it had to be bold)
- Unlimited storage and retention
- Much faster backups
- More stable backup jobs with better error reporting
- No more micro-managing the number of mailboxes
- New mailboxes are automatically added to the backup job
- Removed or unlicensed mailboxes are automatically archived, forever
- Restore to M365, send it to your cloud storage, or download files directly through your browser
If your client is signed up for the beta, you'll be the first to know when you can switch to Servosity One. One thing to note is that because of these extra features, we will be raising the cost per mailbox slightly, and that all mailboxes will be backed up, without an option to exclude any of them. We made this decision to make it as hard as possible to accidentally miss anything in your organization. If you have any concerns about this, please reach out to our team at sales@servosity.com and we'll be happy to talk with you about it.
Google Workspace Backups
Another advantage of starting from scratch was that we were able to include Google Workspace Backup in Servosity One Cloud-to-Cloud backup! This means that you'll be able to protect your Google Calendar, Contacts, Tasks, Drive, and of course, Email. Google Workspace Backup will be offered at the same price per mailbox as Microsoft 365 backup, and will also include unlimited storage and retention, and will automatically protect all users in your workgroup. If you have a client who would like to be the first to use Servosity One Cloud-to-Cloud backup, please enroll them in the Beta program and we'll let you know as soon as it's available!
Servosity Beta Software Program
One thing that you can do right now is to enroll your clients in the Servosity Beta Program. The great new software you've just read about will be released to any companies that have enrolled in the Beta Program first. All our software will be thoroughly tested by our internal support and QA teams before it's given the Beta label, but if you enroll your clients, they'll be the first to receive these updates and new products.
If you're interested, just login to the Servosity Control Panel, select the company you'd like to enroll, select the Company dropdown, and click on Settings.
Here you'll see the Beta Program dropdown. Everyone is on Stable at the moment, but you can switch any of them to Beta, and they'll be first in line to access the "Hero" software when it releases in June.
As always, if you have any questions about these upcoming features or the Beta program, please don't hesitate to reach out to us!
