How do I fix M365 Mailbox Errors?

For the Exchange backups, we get errors when a Mailbox is deleted/unlicensed. There are a couple ways to resolve this.

Mark Mailbox as Shared 

We recommend taking this option whenever unlicensing a mailbox. Simply mark the unlicensed mailbox as shared and it will continue to be backed up. It will not count towards your Licensed Mailboxes for billing and you'll still be able to backup all the data! 

 

Pause the Backups

If the backups for the mailbox are failing, you can choose to pause the mailbox instead. This shouldn't happen with a deleted mailbox (those will be automatically archived) so, you can reach out to Support@Servosity.com if that is not the case

If you do choose to pause the backups for that mailbox please note, you will still be charged for a paused Mailbox. If that mailbox is licensed again or recreated, the backup will have to be manually resumed. It will not start backing up automatically. To pause the backups: 

  1. Head to the Servosity Portal and locate the Company Dashboard
  2. Click on Microsoft 365 to get to the M365 portal
  3. Click on the Exchange backups and locate the problem mailbox
  4. Click on the Pause icon under the Actions Column on the far right of the page
