Servosity version 8 End of Life phase 1

Effective 4/1/2023, Servosity version 8 will have the following End of Life restrictions enforced:
  • No Servosity version 8 endpoints will be eligible for Servosity Safe Gold
  • No Servosity version 8 endpoints will be eligible for DRaaS spin-up
    • This includes testing or emergency spin-ups

For any account to be eligible for Servosity Safe Gold or DRaaS spin-up it will need to be upgraded to Servosity One. Please email support@servosity.com for more information or assistance migrating.

With the release of Servosity One, we have moved our development efforts into improving and automating the setup, monitoring, testing, and recovery tools specifically for our new, low-footprint, web-based backup agent. As a result of the complete overhaul between Servosity 8 and Servosity One, none of these improvements are compatible with the old version 8 agent. Because of this, we have decided to no longer support DRaaS spin-ups or Servosity Safe Gold for any client running Servosity version 8 software. 

 

For any client currently on Servosity Safe Gold, our team will handle the migration to Servosity One so you won't need to worry about losing support. For any clients running Servosity version 8 that are upgraded to Servosity Simplified, we will migrate to Servosity One at the time of upgrade. Any systems which are not running a supported OS will need to be updated to a compatible OS, or they will no longer be managed by our Safe Support team. We will still provide best-effort support per our Support Levels article.

 

For clients who want to be able to spin-up their servers in our AWS cloud, they will need to be upgraded to Servosity One. Once the initial Servosity One upload is completed, they will be eligible for DRaaS spin-up again, following our standard DRaaS eligibility guidelines.

 

End of Life phase 2 and 3 notifications will be published at a later date.
