Setting up Servosity One for DR Backups

This is part 5 of a 5 part series. To see an overview of Servosity Safe DR Backups and find links to the other articles in this series, click here.

Servosity One is our web based agent that will handle the offsite backup, monitor backup status, and serve as an endpoint for restores. The Servosity One Agent will have to be installed on all DR systems. This is necessary for our agent to gather important information that will be essential for any emergency restores. To configure/install Servosity One:

  1. Head to our portal at cp.servosity.com and log into your partner account.
  2. In the Partner drop down menu at the top of the portal, select the Agent Provisioning page.
  3. This will display a the Servosity One PowerShell Install Script
  4. On the right side, there is a blue Copy PowerShell Script button. Click on the button to copy this script and run it on each system that is running SPX and/or ImageManager. (The ImageManager system will be configured to run the offsite backups).
  5. Hit the blue refresh button below it after this step is completed.
  6. Your system(s) will appear below with their own button for Provisioning, select Provision when you are ready to provision that system.
  7. You will be presented with 3 options for your Agent Roles. If the system is running SPX backup, select "Local DR Imaging". If the system is running ImageManager, select "Image Management" and "Cloud Backup".
  8. For SPX systems, select the backup account that matches the system name.
  9. For ImageManager systems, select DR Upload.
  10. Lastly, if your image backups are stored in a network path, head over to the Settings page found under the Company dropdown in the top bar.
  11. Scroll down until you see ImageManager Managed Folder Credentials. Under that header, select the credentials for accessing the Backup destination. If you have not already added that credential to our portal, you will have to add it to the Credential & Keys page under the company drop down.

Your systems should be connected to our portal now with backups scheduled to run! If you head over to any of the backup account pages, you should see some of the system's information displayed under the name.

*Note* For new Image chains, offsite backups will start running on the first ImageManager consolidation.

That should wrap up your DR Account set up! If you had any trouble following these steps or have any additional questions or concerns, feel free to email us at Support@servosity.com or give us a call at 800-429-0500.
