Why are all my accounts called "Classic"?

TL;DR

On Tuesday, October 26th, we rolled out an update to the Servosity Control Panel in preparation for an upcoming release. We'll have more to announce about that very soon, but the first thing most partners will notice is that existing Servosity backup accounts on this date (with the exception of Office 365) have been renamed with Classic at the end. The Classic label applies to all backup accounts based on the Servosity Version 8 client.

The Reasoning

For the next version of Servosity, we've started from the ground up, with a completely redesigned backup engine that features a much smaller footprint, and gives you total control over your backups straight from our control panel. In fact, there's no interface at all on the client machine, just a service that run in the background. The new Servosity One agent is available today for all Servosity Safe companies, you just need to request a conversion from the control panel. In the future we'll be making it available for Servosity Unlimited companies as well.

Moving Forward

For Servosity Unlimited companies, you'll continue to be able to create Classic accounts and utilize Servosity V8 like you're used to, nothing is changing but the name. For any new or converted Servosity Safe companies, you'll automatically be creating new Servosity One backup accounts, and our team will handle the install and setup like usual.
