Why does my backup say "check-in overdue"?

The reports for DR backups go straight to CheckCentral however, you may see a red clock icon with the caption "check-in overdue".

The "check-in overdue" is our automated system saying that it has not received a report in the last 24 hours.

For new backups, this typically means that reporting has not been configured for the corresponding application. You can refer to these articles to see how to configure notifications:

If the backups have been reporting in but, you are now seeing the "check-in overdue" there may have been recent changes that prevent our reporting from occurring. We'd recommend looking into any recent firewall or security changes. Our default port for reporting is 587 so that would be the first thing to check.

If you are still having issues and nothing has changed recently, you can use the test message option in SPX or ImageManager. You will have to reach out to our support team, support@servosity.com, so that we can check our system for the test messages.

For one off issues, a report can be missed due to the system being offline or the system not having internet at the reporting time.
